Rating

First and foremost, this site has a PG-13 rating. If we think you aren't mature enough to handle this RPG, we will kindly ask you to leave. Not completely sure if something you want to do is allowed or not? Ask the staff. Do not just assume.

» Drug Use: Legal drugs are allowed to be talked about and used during RP threads, but illegal substances, while they may be talked about and hinted at, are not to be actually used during an RP thread. (allowed = tobacco, alcohol, prescription drugs, and cannabis)

» Profanity: Allowed, but don't get carried away with it.

» Violence and Gore: Allowed, but again, don't get carried away with it. If people start getting uncomfortable with your posts, we're going to ask that you tone down the blood and guts.

» Sexual content: Mild content is allowed, but nothing too graphic. Take that somewhere else.

Applying

» One character per account. You username must be your character's first and last name. If the character has a nickname (by nickname, we mean a shortened version of their first name, not something made up), you can use that instead.

» When you first register an account, you can only post in the Creation >> Apply board. Once your character has been accepted, you will be granted access to the rest of the forum.

» If we have asked you to revise your profile multiple times and see that you just aren't doing what we've asked, we will reject your application and make you start over from scratch.

» We will also reject applications that seem too similar to an already approved character or weapon. We don't need a bunch of clones running around here.

» If you are applying for an Exorcist, do not post their weapon application until after the character has been approved. It clutters up the board.

» If your character or weapon profile is already approved and you want to add or change it in any way, PM a staff member and tell us what it is you want to add or change before you go ahead and do it.

» We will keep unfinished applications for up to one month before deleting them.

Character Limits

» You may have as many Citizen and Clergyman characters as you would like, but in order to create a second, your first account must have at least 25 posts. For each new character you want to create, there must be at least 25 posts on all of your other accounts.

» You are limited to three Exorcist characters. After your first, each additional Exorcist may only be created after your existing ones have at least 50 posts.

» You are limited to two "Akuma" characters. Creating a second Akuma requires 50 posts on your first Akuma's account.

» You are limited to one "Noah" character. There is a large difference in applying for Noah characters. Instead of posting the application in the Creation board, you must PM the application to Millennium Earl. The admins will read over your application and save it until we decide to allow another Noah to awaken, then we will choose one application from the bunch that we like best.

God Moding/Power Playing/Meta Gaming

» God Moding: The act of giving your character power boosts that make them "god-like". This can be invincibility, unlimited ammunition, the ability to dodge every attack thrown at them, or anything else that gives a character a huge advantage in game play. We will not accept weapons with insanely strong attacks or abilities, nor will we accept characters who seem impervious to pain, physical and emotional. These are human beings you're playing as, not rocks.

» Power Playing: The act of controlling another person's character. Some people don't care as much as others when it comes to power playing. Some will go along with it while others may have a big problem. If we start getting complaints, expect a warning.

» Meta Gaming: The act of using knowledge that is not available to a player's character (sometimes to gain an advantage in role-play and sometimes not). If you're meeting someone for the first time, you usually don't already know their name and general personality or history unless someone else has told you in advance. It's the same in role-playing. Just because you know of the information, doesn't mean your character does. This is especially true with character thoughts. Unless the words have been spoken by the character, your character is not going to know what he or she is thinking.

Spelling, Grammar, and Language

» Use proper English while you're here. Grammar and spelling mistakes do not make us happy. We understand a few mistakes here and there (no one's perfect), but if your posts are littered with them, we're going to need to have a serious talk.

» You may use other languages in your in-character posts as a part of your character's thoughts and dialogue {only if the character can speak other languages, of course}. Just be sure to give a translation somewhere in your post.

Posting

» Each of your characters are limited to 3 in-character threads at a time. Once a thread is finished or has been abandoned, PM Central so we can move it to the archive and you can move on to a new thread. We do not count Quickie or Mission threads as a part of the 3.

» We don't have a strict word minimum, but please don't post any one-liners. Give the rest of the players something to respond to and be sure to respond to what others have written. We would prefer it if you post no less than a paragraph or 5 good sentences.

» We allow posts to be in either 1st person or 3rd person, but stay consistent in your posts. If you start out using third person narrative, stick with it through the entire thread. Do not switch back and forth. The same rule applies to posting in past or present tense.

» For threads with more than two people, keep a posting order. It isn't cool to leave someone behind in a thread just because they're taking a few days. Be patient. The only time it is okay to post out of order is if the person who should be posting next either gives you the okay to post ahead or has been inactive for a more than a week without notifying anyone.

» Do not hassle members to post in a thread, either. Politely reminding them is okay but if we get a complaint that you're bothering them to post, you will receive a warning.

Activity

» We understand that things come up, but if you're going to be gone for more than a week, post a topic in the Player Announcements board so we aren't wondering where you've gone to. When you come back, let us know so we can remove your away topic.

» You have one week to post a character application (it doesn't have to be finished) on our site. After that week is up and you have yet to post an application, we will delete your account.

Avatars & Signatures

» Avatars may have a maximum size of 100x100 pixels. Signatures may not stretch the forum. Please keep the content for both avatars and signatures appropriate.

» As soon as your character is approved, put a link to their profile in your signature. Same goes for anti-Akuma weapons.

Respect

» Remember the golden rule: "Treat others the way you want to be treated". Be respectful of everyone on this forum whether it be another member, a staff member, or a guest. Insults, biases, and just plain rude remarks are not tolerated from anyone.

Conclusion

» These rules are subject to change at any time as the staff see fit. You will be notified of any changes in the Announcements board.

» Depending on the severity of a rule broken, a player may be warned, have privileges taken away, or be flat out banned from the site.
